Green Team Members:
A BIG THANK YOU to those who showed up at South Park yesterday, April 8, to assist me in sprucing up the area for the Easter Egg Hunt later that day. Saturday's participants included Melissa Sturges, Frankie Fiddler, Gwen Robertson, Sandy & Bill Massock, Janie Zelfer, Sandi Garrison, Art Kellogg, and Deborah Young. With the strong turnout, we were able to complete our tasks in under an hour!!

While together, I polled the GT members present and we agreed to purchase out of Green Team funds a tree (a seedless maple) for the South Park trail dedication which will take place on Saturday, June 3 (mark your calendars and plan to attend!!). The dedication is celebrating the park grant obtained by Lake Waukomis to asphalt the remainder of our South Park trail. The tree will be placed east of the bandshell at the intersection of the main trail with the trail looping around the ball diamonds - it will ultimately shade the bench that will also be purchased by the grant money and installed by our Men's Club. We will have a band at the dedication and will have food (hot dogs) donated by the Women's Club. There will be activities for kids and adults both!

Next Green Team work day is Saturday, April 22, 10 am to noon. Meet at the Community Building. Bring gloves/rakes/etc. Wear your Green Team shirts!
