We also accept checks and cash for water payments. These payments can be mailed to City Hall or we have a drop box for after hours.
Below is a copy of the most recent water/sewer rate ordinance. The sewer charge comes directly from Kansas City and they raise their rate every May. The portion of sewer that the City receives from the residents water payments gets paid directly back to Kansas City.
A $250 water deposit is required on all new accounts along with a completed water application which you can find at the link below:

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 700.060 “WATER RATES”, OF ARTICLE VII, CHAPTER 700, OF THE GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF LAKE WAUKOMIS, EFFECTIVE MAY 21, 2021.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Lake Waukomis, Missouri, as follows:
SECTION I WATER RATES
Beginning April 1, 2024, the water rates charged by the City of Lake Waukomis shall be as follows:
Up to 1,000 gallons ………………………………………………………. $32.89
(Plus current monthly Sewer charges of $59.29 and $24.00 Sewer Maintenance fee plus $35.00 Sewer Capital fee = $59.00.)
Next 1001-2000 gallons………….……………………………………….. $22.25
Next 2001-3000 gallons….……………………………………………….. $13.45
Next 3001-4000 gallons……………………….………………………….. $11.61
Above 4000 gallons……………………………………………… $11.42 per 1000 gallons
NOTE: Effective April 1, 2024, in months where there is no water usage by the customer, the city sewer rate of $59.00 will nonetheless be incurred by each customer that is attached to the sewer system.
